The Martin HD-28E is an iconic dreadnought guitar, loved by musicians worldwide and used by countless stars across genres. Its large D-14 body and forward scalloped X-bracing produce a powerful and projecting tone with full bass, clear treble registers and rich harmonics – characteristics that have made it a favorite for both chord playing and solo playing.

The guitar is hand-built with the highest quality materials. The top is made of solid Sitka spruce, while the sides and back are made of solid East Indian rosewood. The combination creates a resonant and balanced tone that suits all playing styles. For a timeless and elegant aesthetic, the top is adorned with bold herringbone inlays, and the ebony fingerboard features abalone diamond and square inlays.

Designed for maximum playing comfort, the neck features a satin-finished finish, a Golden Era (GE) Modified Low Oval profile, and a high-performance taper. The longer 25.4-inch scale provides both power and precision, perfect for everything from fingerpicking to powerful plectrum playing.

The HD-28E is equipped with Fishman Aura VT Enhance electronics, ensuring the guitar's natural tone is preserved when amplified. Perfect for both stage performance and recording. Other features include antique white binding, an ebony bridge with bone pins, and open nickel tuners.

The Martin HD-28E is part of the updated Standard Series for 2025, offering improvements in tone, playability, and design. Sitka spruce GE bracing, taken from the Modern Deluxe series, provides vintage-inspired tone and sustain. Meanwhile, a thinner fretboard, refined neck profile, and updated details make the guitar even more playable and aesthetically pleasing.
