The Electro-Voice RE420 is a condenser microphone designed to reproduce detailed and vivid vocal performances. Thanks to its premium element, the microphone delivers a rich, nuanced and full sound with a warm and clear bottom, natural midrange reproduction and an open, crispy treble.

Optimal control on stage and in the studio

The microphone's cardioid characteristic provides effective acoustic isolation and minimizes the risk of feedback, especially when a stage monitor is placed 180° from the microphone element. The wide working zone around the microphone facilitates the use of various microphone techniques during dynamic performances.

Thoughtful design for professional results

To reduce unwanted sounds from breath sounds and plosives, the RE420 is equipped with a multi-layer pop filter consisting of two layers of dense foam separated by air. A built-in vibration-damping shock absorber reduces handling noise. The microphone also has a selectable high-pass filter that, when active, attenuates frequencies below 150 Hz, thereby reducing low-frequency noise.
