Yamaha BBP35II Vintage White
Alder/Maple/Alder Body Construction
The latest BB Professional models feature a laminated alder/maple/alder body construction. The hard maple center increases the body's rigidity and accentuates the midrange, while also providing a uniform transfer of vibrations between the body and neck.
6-Bolt Mitre Neck Attachment
Miter bolting holds the neck closer and tighter to the body, uniting these two separate components into one unit.
YGD Custom V7 Pickups
Alnico magnets produce a thick yet penetrating tone that works in conjunction with the unique body construction to deliver an organic, well-defined sound.
Controls
The latest BB Professional models feature a tone control and two volume controls for versatile sound shaping.
Convertible Bridge and Saddle for Precise Tone Shaping: Vintage Plus Bridge
BB Professional models feature our Vintage Plus bridge, which can be strung through the bridge or body. The strings pass through the body at a 45-degree angle, reducing the strain on the strings compared to traditional string-through, while effectively transferring body vibrations to the body.
Long-scale strings are recommended for string-through bridge and super long-scale strings are recommended for string-through body.
5-Piece Neck
The latest BB Pro models feature a 5-piece maple and mahogany neck in a bolt-on design that provides a crisp attack and quick response. This durable construction resists warping and bending and combines the dense, penetrating character of maple with the warmth of mahogany.
Neck Shape
The latest BB models feature a slightly thinner neck than previous BB basses, improving playability and feel for both modern and traditional fundamentals.
Lightweight Tuners
Lighter tuners provide better balance and complement the overall feel, making a perfect match for the smaller, lighter body of the latest BB models.
Initial Response Acceleration (I.R.A.)
All basses benefit from being "recorded," a process in which the instrument matures and opens up as tensions between the wood and finish, neck and fretboard, and body and hardware are released, resulting in better sound and playability.
Yamaha's exclusive Initial Response Acceleration process releases these tensions by applying specific vibrations to the finished instrument as part of the manufacturing process, making it a "recorded" bass from day one.
