V-Drum's Quiet Design is a breakthrough in home drumming, providing the lowest playing noise in V-Drum's history. It works with V-Drum's Quiet Design pads, stands and pedal bases together to keep sound and vibration transfer in check without sacrificing feel and response. Noise is reduced by as much as 75 percent compared to a traditional V-Drums kit.

The KDQ-8 kick pad has a sound-reducing surface with a dense triple-layered cushion covered with a double-layered mesh material. It is housed in a specially designed floating frame to reduce vibration and sound transmission to the floor. Four specially adapted rubber feet provide stability and additional vibration isolation, while the included KDB-Q silent drum pad minimizes contact noise when hitting the drum.
